Schools are back in session, the weather for the most part seems to be pretty good, and yet I am looking forward to Autumn. Soon we will be finding pumpkins decorating our homes and the leaves will be changing which makes drives so pretty and walks in the woods with slightly cooler weather so nice. Nature has always inspired me to reflect upon the glory of God.

This month we are preparing for the Fall Radiothon, it will begin on Monday, October 2. We invite you to tune in and please help support Covenant Network, we really need your support. Please consider making a monthly gift, if that is not possible, whatever you can do is very important. Catholic radio is a great teacher and guide for our lives. The programs that you hear on Covenant Network help many people that you may never have the opportunity to meet, and I hope they inspire you. Please take some time to think about what you can do to help support Covenant Network and give us a call.

Many people are praying the 54-day rosary novena. If you have not begun it already, join right now. Pray a daily rosary for the church and our country. In this year marked particularly by the 100th anniversary of Our Lady appearing at Fatima, we need to heed her call to pray a daily rosary. The 54-day rosary novena is 27 days of prayer in petition (for the Church and our country) and then 27 days in thanksgiving. There are some prayers you can offer with it, you can find those by searching online or I can send you an email with them. I’d also request that you add some form of fasting or penance every day to make those prayers even more efficacious.

We really do need your support. Please help the apostolate with your donation, but also, we ask for your prayer support. Would you include Covenant Network in your daily prayers, especially at Holy Mass or adoration?

October 13 is the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima. I encourage you to plan to make that a special day of prayer and thanksgiving. If you have children or grandchildren do something that will be memorable for them as they grow, something spiritual and something fun.

May God bless you! Please invite others to support Covenant Network, especially during the week of October 2.

Sincerely in Christ,

Teresa M. Holman

The Feast of St. Robert Bellarmine

This week is Summer’s last hurrah, we are supposed to have temperatures in the mid90s. We have had some glimpses of Autumn weather and I’m really looking forward to their return.
