It’s beginning to feel a lot like Summer!  Spring was so short, we moved right into the summer weather.  Schools are out or will be soon.  I’m ready for a nice long summer with all the fun and festivities with family and friends.

June is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Corpus Christi Sunday is June 3rd!  Does your parish have a Corpus Christi procession?  This is a beautiful tradition that I would love to see renewed in all parishes.  June 8th is also the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, followed by The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary the next day.  I have a particular devotion to St. Anthony whose feast day is June 13 and we end the month with the Feast of the Birth of St. John the Baptist on June 24 and The Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul on June 29.

June is also the month we honor our fathers.  If you are blessed to still have your earthly father, I hope you are able to attend Holy Mass with them and spend some time with them on Father’s Day June 17.  I also encourage you to thank and honor your pastor, bishops, and priests this Father’s Day.

What does Catholic radio mean to you?  Do you have favorite programs that you particularly enjoy?  So many times I hear something and think, I wish “a friend, a relative, etc.” could hear this.  Please keep inviting friends and family to listen.  Particularly let them know if there is a show that you heard that they would like or might need.  Let them know about the app, it is a quick way for people to listen anytime day or night, or to any of our stations.  You can find a list of stations at ourcatholicradio.org.  If you are traveling this summer, there is a link to Mass Times and a Travelers Guide for Catholic radio stations on the top left corner of our website.

Covenant Network is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  We rely on donations to operate these radio stations.  Every donation is greatly appreciated.

Have a blessed beginning of the summer.  Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, my husband, and to all of you who are fathers.  You will be in my prayers!

Sincerely in Christ,

Teresa M. Holman

The Feast of St. Robert Bellarmine

This week is Summer’s last hurrah, we are supposed to have temperatures in the mid90s. We have had some glimpses of Autumn weather and I’m really looking forward to their return.
