Greetings! January brought us quite a bit of snow already. I actually have enjoyed it for the most part, other than the Friday evening that took me about 2 hours to make my typical 10-minute drive home. This week our temperatures are going to be extremely cold though. It is certainly a time when we need to be aware of those who are living without sufficient shelter. Be careful out there, and stay inside if the roads and sidewalks are slick!
On our website you can now sign up to have a copy of one of Tom Shrewsbury’s Reflections shows on the saints delivered to your email each month. You can go to ourcatholicradio.org and under the Grow tab click on Listen to the lives and stories of the saints. A link will also be on our new Facebook page, Covenant Network Catholic Radio. We are changing and updating the website often so make sure to check in regularly.
Are you participating in Exodus 90? It is a great spiritual exercise for the renewal of the Church, it began on January 21 and continues to Easter, it includes prayer, fasting, and fellowship. I encourage you to look more into it and to participate however you can. We all, men and women, can benefit from more prayer and fasting, and having another person to help challenge and support you is invaluable. If more people pray and fast we will change the world.
Can you help support Covenant Network? We rely on our listeners to support this apostolate, each donation is very important to this work which we continue to strive to improve for everyone who listens. Thank you for anything you can do to help.
February is the month of the Holy Family, we need to pray for protection for all families. “As the family goes, so goes the nation, and so goes the whole world in which we live.” – Pope St. John Paul II Can you believe it was 20 years ago that he was in St. Louis?
Sincerely in Christ,
Teresa M. Holman
