Easter Monday

Bring flowers of the fairest!  This song instantly brings me back to my grade school days and picking out flowers from home to take to the May Crowning at our little parish school.  I vividly remember bringing a beautiful purple iris and I was so excited for the procession.  It still is one of my very favorite Marian hymns.  May is the month dedicated to Our Lady.

May 1 is our 22nd anniversary of broadcasting Catholic radio on Covenant Network.  We began the day with a prayer to St. Joseph the Worker at the WRYT studios in Glen Carbon, IL, then we went to Mass at Mother of Perpetual Help in Maryville before having an Open House and the St. Louis Director of Communications, Monsignor Dennis Delaney, offered a prayer of blessing.  It was a nice beginning of our first day of Catholic broadcasting.

We are exceedingly grateful for all who helped during the Spring Radiothon.  We raised about $348,000.  Your sacrifices to help make Covenant Network a strong, Catholic tool for evangelization and education are so very inspiring.  We will continue to work diligently to bring you the best programming to make you a better Catholic each day you listen.

We are excited to announce that we have upgraded the signal on 92.7 FM licensed to Caseyville, IL. This upgrade effected the Belleville area the most, but it also improved other areas primarily on the East side of the St. Louis metro area.  If you are in this area, check to see if this is a good 24-hour signal for you and let me know.

Ask Our Lady for whatever you need.  She will present the need to Her Son in the best manner possible in order that we make the most immediate improvement.  She told us to “Do whatever He tells you” and “Pray the rosary.”  If we are faithful in praying the rosary, She will help us do what He has asked of us.  This month, make praying at least one rosary a day your goal.  Happy Easter!

Sincerely in Christ,

Teresa M. Holman
