The Feast of Saints Mark and Marcellianus

Happy Summer Greetings!  Are you having a good one?  I’m certainly enjoying it so far and looking forward to an extended family vacation this month.  We grew up spending a lot of time at the lake near our home, and traveling to and camping on the beach, so we are all still very drawn to the water.  I find the water to be very relaxing and contemplative.

I encourage you to come for the Carmelite Novena in St. Louis, for all or whatever part you can.  This year the novena begins on Saturday, July 13th.  If you can only make one day, try to get there on the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Tuesday, July 16.  If you aren’t in St. Louis, I encourage you to pray the novena beginning on July 7th, or make a visit to a Carmelite monastery on July 16 if there is one nearby.

Are you using the Covenant Network app?  If you are traveling it is the best way to listen.  Once you download the app all you have to do is touch it and it plays right away, you can also get to the website from their to send me an email or look up stations, Mass times around the country, or listen to some of Monsignor Witt’s Church History programs.

We attain the highest good in life through the graces that we receive from Our Lord in the Sacraments He instituted.  The gift of our Faith is a treasure that we need to share with others.  Your support helps bring people to the Faith, encourages those in the fight, and increases our understanding.  Please help Covenant Network with a donation.

July is the month of the Precious Blood.  This would be a great prayer to add to your daily prayers this month.  Print it and put it on your table to say before or after your dinner prayers.  Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Sincerely in Christ,

Teresa M. Holman
