The Feast of St. Hilarion

November!!!  It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of this year, and I think we are all praying and hoping that 2021 is a better one.  It certainly has been a year filled with praying.

We finally have gotten some rain this week.  It has been a beautiful beginning to the Fall.  The leaves are really beginning to put on a real show with some gorgeous oranges, reds, and yellows to brighten our days.

We have been busy wrapping up everything with the radiothon.  It was a good week.  We are so grateful for all who called and offered their support to help.  I hope you were able to listen and hear from some of the people who were on air and some of the thanks that callers shared for why listening to Covenant Network has made such a significant difference in their lives.  I was very impressed to see all the good works that people are involved in and also how connected we are.  I think more than ever we all see the need to keep Faith foremost in our lives and the need to share it with others.  We are in a world that is hurting because many do not trust in Him.

Today I ask you most earnestly to please pray for our country!  Every election is important but this one seems especially vital for us to pray and fast and ask for Our Blessed Mother to intercede for this great country dedicated to her.  We will be increasing our daily prayers on air.  Please join us in praying as often as you can.  Unite your prayers with fasting!

November is the month of the Poor Souls, so take advantage of the graces available and stop by a cemetery as often as you can to pray:

A plenary indulgence, for the souls in Purgatory, is granted to the faithful who, on any and each day from November 1 to 8, devoutly visit a cemetery and pray, if only mentally, for the departed; on All Souls' Day or on the solemnity of All Saints, devoutly visit a church or an oratory and recite an Our Father and the Creed.

A partial indulgence, applicable only to the souls in purgatory, is granted to the faithful who devoutly visit a cemetery and at least mentally pray for the dead; devoutly recite lauds or vespers from the Office of the Dead or the prayer Requiem Aeternam (Eternal rest).

I am so thankful for you!  Please keep praying and listening.  Let us know how we can pray for you.  If you want to have a birthday or anniversary announced during Adam’s show, let him know the date and the special occasion.  You can reach him at adam@ourcatholicradio.org.

Sincerely in Christ,

Teresa M. Holman

The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows

October begins the final quarter of 2020! We have begun to have some Autumn weather and my trees started dropping leaves in early September.
