Covenant Network Privacy Policy for Radio Apps

Effective as of December 20, 2023

Covenant Network develops and operates custom applications and streaming services for various radio network customers enabling them to provide faith-based programming through the web, on mobile devices and tablets, and through other consumer electronic devices to listeners like you. We respect your privacy and do not collect or share your personal data. Our applications do, however, make use of certain data to provide you the best experience possible. This Privacy Policy explains what data we do collect, and how we use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access our services (the "Service") through our application (the “Application”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE APPLICATION.

As used in this policy, "Covenant Network" "refers to Covenant Network, Inc. We may refer to Covenant Network as "we", "us" "or "our" and to you as "listener", "user", "you" or "your".

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Application after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the third-party online/mobile store from which you install the Application or make payments or to any third-party site you may navigate to from our Application (such as a radio station website). We are not responsible for any of the data collected by any such third party.

Information We Receive or Collect from You

Technical Information: As is true of many internet-enabled services, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable technical information through the use of log files and servers. Web and application servers create log files automatically as part of their setup and configuration. Information in a log file may include IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, date/time stamps, MAC address, file requested, and other usage information and statistics.

Device Information: If you access and use the Service from a computer, mobile phone, tablet, or other electronic device, we may collect information about those devices. For example, our servers receive and store information about your computer and browser, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type, and other related software or hardware information. If you access the Service from a mobile phone, tablet, or other electronic device, we may collect and store information such as device type, operating system version and type, unique identifiers (such as MAC address), and other related information for that device.

Location Information: We may request access or permission to and track location-based information from your device, such as GPS location, either continuously or while you are using the Application, to provide location-based services. Location data is not stored and never leaves your device. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

Information Collection Technologies

HTML5 and Device Local Storage: We may, in some instances, use HTML5 and/or Device Local Storage (collectively, "Local Storage") to enhance your listening experiences in the Application. For example, we may use Device Local Storage to keep track of the current program playing in the event the Application reloads inadvertently, that way we can continue playing the content at the same position it was prior to reload. We may use Local Storage to cache image or audio data to prevent you from having to download the same data multiple times and to improve Application loading times. Each browser implements HTML5 Local Storage differently and provides tools for managing content stored within local storage. Review your browser's privacy settings to manage the content stored within HTML5 Local Storage.

How We Use Information We Receive or Collect

We use the information we receive or collect to deliver requested content to you and to enhance your listening experience. For example, we may use location data to find your closest local station. Technical information collected in server logs may be used to debug and correct Service or Application errors. Device information is used to tailor user interfaces and Application features to the particular requirements of your device.

How We Share Information We Receive or Collect with Others

We do not share the information we collect with others. Most of this data never leaves your device. The technical information which may show up in our server logs is only used internally to improve the Service and/or Application.

Security of Your Information

Information Protection: We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the information we collect or receive, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Links to Other Websites: Our Application may include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Covenant Network. If you submit personal information to any of those websites, the privacy statements and practices of those websites govern their use of your information. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.

Our Policies Concerning Children

We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided below.
